Q. 15 g dose is very less for a large animal?
A. The dose of Ruchamax is less because it contains 100% medicinally active herbs without fillers.  The researches have proved that 15 g dose is sufficient for adult animal.

Q. In how much time Ruchamax will show its results?
A. Ruchamax results are evident just after the administration of the first dose especially when Ruchamax is directly rubbed on the tongue.  The salivation of animal improves.  However complete restoration of rumen functions are achieved by 4 to 6 doses.

Q. How Ruchamax improves milk production?
A. Ruchamax contains certain herbs that have a positive effect on rumen microflora.  Rumen microflora is the key for microbial digestion hence more Volatile Fatty Acids are formed as a result of fermentation.  These VFAs are the source of energy that is in turn utilized for milk production.  “Better the microflora health better is the productivity”.

Q. Can Ruchamax be given to a healthy animal without inappetence? What is the benefit?
A. Even though the appetite of animal is normal the microflora health may not be 100%.  In such animals, Ruchamax supplementation will boost microflora functions leading to better digestibility and improved milk production.

Q. Can Ruchamax be given to pregnant animal?
A. Ruchamax contains quality assured herbal ingredients thus is completely safe for the use in pregnant animals.

Q. Can Ruchamax be mixed in animal feed for longer duration of supplementation?
A. Yes, Ruchamax can be mixed in feed. It would be better if Ruchamax is mixed in concentrate ration rather than roughages. It is to be ensured that the animal takes the complete quantity without any wastage.

Q. Will animal eat more after giving Ruchamax?
A. Yes, the intake of roughages may increase.  In turn the milk production will also be increased as the roughages will be better utilized through ruminal fermentation.

Q. Will the milk production decrease after stopping the Ruchamax supplementation?
A. Even after stopping Ruchamax supplementation the milk production remains increased for a month.  This has been validated through research trials.  Ruchamax supplementation is recommended for 7 days in a month to achieve optimum productivity throughout lactation period.

Q. What is the difference between Ruchamax and Pachoplus?
A. The main action of Ruchamax is 1) to improve salivary functions & 2) to improve health of rumen microflora.  It thus works to improve appetite and digestion through better microflora activity.

Thus Ruchamax is indicated for Inappetence, Impaired digestion and  along with antibiotic therapy. Also as digestive tonic in healthy animals for enhancing milk  production.

The main action of Pachoplus is to modulate rumen tone.  Its use is indicated when rumen tone is decreased or absent.  This happens mainly in cases of indigestion, impaction and bloat.

Q. How does Ruchamax work to improve appetite?
A. Ruchamax improves microflora health resulting in better fermentation of the feed ingredients.  If fermentation process is good feed gets digested in rumen and is pushed to the second chamber of stomach thereby regulating the appetite.

Q. What would be the benefit of using Ruchamax in weak animals?
A. Rumen microflora derives energy for growth and survival from the feed consumed by animals.  The animal turns weak when their feed intake is reduced for a long time.  This in turns lead to death of microflora.  Ruchamax supplementation will improve microbial health leading to improvement in the appetite and digestion for better health.

Q. Do you recommend the use of Ruchamax along with antibiotic therapy?
A. Antibiotics kill the friendly bacteria present inside the rumen.  Thus it is essential to give Ruchamax along with antibiotic therapy to restore microflora health.

Q. What is the benefit of using Ruchamax in calves?
A. Due to better digestibility of feed the growth of calves will be good.

Q. What does Exapar contain?
A. Exapar is a unique combination of potent medicinal herbal extracts that tones up uterus and restores normal uterine functions for better post partum reproductive efficiency.

Q. How does Exapar act?
A. Herbs contained in Exapar works by:
Stimulating the uterine contractions- the contractions facilitate the expulsion of placenta and debris.

Stimulating the uterus to secrete lochial discharge- the lochial discharge contains phagocytic cells that kill the infectious agents present in the uterus.

By virtue of the above actions the post partum reproductive performance is improved.

Q. What is the benefit of using Exapar in post-partum anoestrus?
A. Post-partum anoestrus is mainly due to failure of regression of corpus luteum present on ovarian wall . Exapar cleans uterus that assists the secretion of prostaglandin from uterine wall (endometrium ) required for regression of corpus luteum. This leads to stimulation of FSH secretion from Pituitary  leading to ovarian stimulation and thus animal comes into heat. For better results, Exapar therapy should be supported with Janova, Mintrus and Anthelmintic.

Q. What is the benefit of using Exapar in case of repeat breeding?
A. Repeat breeding occurs mainly due to endometritis (infection of inner uterine wall).  Exapar helps in the cleansing of uterus thus cures endometritis.  Once endometritis is taken care, the fertilized egg can implant in the uterus leading to conception.

Q. Exapar is costly compared to competitors.
A. No, the full course of Exapar therapy which is 500 ml  is Rs. 87/- that is less compared to the competitors. Most of the product’s dosage is 900 ml to 1000ml ( are in diluted form) and so total expenditure of other products is comparatively high.

Q. Will Exapar expels the retained placenta?
A. Exapar will facilitate the expulsion of retained placenta but it is not necessary that it will expel the retained placenta.  It will depend upon the condition of the case.  If manual removal by doctor is required, Exapar supplementation ensures smooth removal of fetal membranes. The chances of injury & bleeding of uterine wall are very less.

Q. Should I use Exapar even if the placenta has expelled?
A. Even if the placenta has expelled it is required to clean the uterus so that it is ready for the next conception.  Exapar usage increases the uterine secretions that help in uterine cleansing.  The benefit is timely involution, heat and conception.

Q. Are intra-uterine agents needed along with Exapar supplementation?
A. Intra uterine agents are to be used in case of manual removal of placenta or established uterine infection (metritis, pyometra) along with Exapar.  In case of normal parturition intra uterine agents should not be used.

Q. When Exapar is to be administered?
A. Exapar can be administered as given below:
Normal parturition – Immediately after parturition
ROP- As soon as the case is reported
Post-partum anoestrus/Repeat breeding/metritis – As soon as the case is reported

Q. What is the benefit of combined usage of Exapar, Janova, Mintrus and Anthelmintic in post-partum anoestrus?

A. The cause of anoestrus may be variable.  The combined usage will take care of a majority of causes as under:

  • Exapar – Subsequent to uterine cleansing prostaglandin is secreted to regress CL
  • Janova – Synchronises the release of hormones responsible for ovarian functions
  • Mintrus –Important  minerals have positive effect on reproductive functions
  • Anthelmintic – The worm infestation lead to malnutrition leading to deficiency of certain important elements required for reproductive functions.

The combined usage will ensure that all the causes of post partum anoestrus are taken care of.

Q. How does Janova act?
A. Janova is a scientific combination of medicinal herbs that mimic the action of gonadotropins (FSH & LH) and synchronise the release of physiological hormones for inducing ovulatory oestrus and regulating ovarian functions.

Q. How many days after parturition Janova is to be given to induce oestrus?
A. The animal should come into heat within 60 days after parturition.  If heat is not observed within 60 days Janova is to be given.  The results will be better if Exapar is given for 5 days before the use of Janova and Mintrus is given for 20 days period.

Q. Does Janova have oestrogenic activity?
A. Some of the herbs in Janova mimics oestrogen like activity that is responsible for overt signs of heat.  The main action of Janova however is to mimic gonadotropin (FSH & LH) like action that helps in development of ova and its release.  The oestrus induced by Janova administration is thus ovulatory.

Q. Janova gives results only in some percent of animals?
A. The cause of anoestrus is variable (non-functional ovary, anatomical defects of ovary or oviduct, uterine infection, malnutrition etc.).  Amongst these, Janova acts only in case of non-functional ovary hence the cause covered is limited.  The efficacy percent will thus be low.  The research has shown that Janova is able to induce oestrus in approx. 30% animals that is quite good in view of the variable causes involved.  For better results, Janova therapy should be combined with Exapar, mineral mixture and anthelmintic.

Q. It is seen that the dose of 3 capsules does not work?
A. The dose has been fixed for indigenous cattle weighing 300 kg approx.  In case the animal is heavy the dose can be doubled without any side effect.

Q 1: How does Mastilep work by topical application?
A. Mastilep contains Eucalyptus oil (Nilgiri tail) that increases the penetration of the ingredients inside the udder tissue by increasing the pore size of skin.  The active ingredients thus reach inside the udder to act.

Q 2: How does Mastilep prevent recurrence of mastitis?
A. Mastilep contains herbs having immunomodulatory property that enhances the udder immunity.  The udder would thus be able to kill the pathogens entering inside the teat canal.  The research has shown that once treated the immunity remains good till 6 weeks hence the disease is prevented even if pathogens gain an entry during this period.

Q 3: How does Mastilep increase udder immunity?
A. Mastilep contains immunomodulatory herbs like Glycerrhiza glabra, Curcuma longa that have immunomodulatory action.  These herbs strengthen the ‘Udder Immune Barrier’.

Q 4: Will Mastilep work in acute mastitis?
A. Yes, but Mastilep application should be supported by the administration of parental antibiotic in acute mastitis (characterized by swelling of udder).

Q 5: Which antibiotic should be used through parenteral route along with Mastilep for the treatment of CM?
A. Any broad-spectrum antibiotic can be used based on the etiology involved.

Q 6: Will Mastilep help in chronic mastitis when fibrosis of udder has occurred?
A. No, Mastilep has no effect in case of fibrosis.  However, the application can be done to prevent the healthy tissue from getting fibrosed.

Q 7: Many a times sluffing of udder skin is observed after Mastilep application?
A. It may be an accidental finding as in some of the disease affecting udder sluffing of the udder skin takes place.  Some of the examples of such disease are pox, FMD, allergic mammitis etc.  Mastilep when applied in such cases the finding may be co-incidental.  Sometimes a mild sluffing may be observed if Mastilep is rubbed vigorously instead of gentle application.

Q 8: Mastilep should be made available in small pack size.
A. The research findings prove that Mastilep application is to be done at least for 5 days for disease control.  The quantity of 125 gm is sufficient for five applications (2.5 days) hence has a rationale. The complete treatment will be through two tubes.

Also in comparison to other products 125 gm is economical too.

Q 9: Is Mastilep like Wisprac/Diclofenac gel/Iodex etc.?
A. No, these agents are mainly anti-inflammatory thus they only reduce the swelling & pain but do not treat the disease.  They are the agents that provide only the symptomatic relief.  Mastilep works by strengthening the udder immune barrier (1st & 2nd line of defence) by virtue of which disease is controlled and the recurrence is prevented. Also Mastilep is having broadspectrum antimicrobial action which other products don’t have.

Q 10: Mastilep is very costly.
A. One tube of Mastilep costing Rs. 87/- is sufficient for 2.5 days (per day treatment cost of Rs. 35/- only).  This is lesser compared to any other therapy.  While using Mastilep farmer should not use Intramammary infusion which is adding to the cost. Only I/m antibiotics and Uniselit usage would be sufficient for disease control. Apart from this the farmer saves the cost of milk discard as well as gains by incremental milk yield by Mastilep therapy.

Q. How Afanil is better than other products?
A..Afanil is a combination of microflora friendly medicinal oils (dil & ajwain) which help in quick release of trapped gases without any damage to rumen microflora. Also presence of  medicinal herbs (chitrak &  eranda) having carminative & stomachic actions ensure restoration of rumen functions.

Other products don’t have these dual actions and also many products are having ingredients like simethicone or high concentration of terpentine oil which is harmful for rumen microflora.

Q. Can Afanil be used intra-ruminally also?
A. Afanil is available in uniform emulsion form that is convenient for intra-ruminal administration.

Q. How fast Afanil acts?
A. By intra-ruminal administration the results can be seen within minutes.  Oral administration takes a normal time of 15-20 minutes.

Q. Afanil is to be used for 2 days compared to single dose treatment of other products?
A. Single dose of Afanil will give the results however the dose can be continued till 2 days depending on the severity of the problem.  Unlike other products Afanil administration for a longer period is devoid of damaging effects on microflora.

Q. Should I need to compliment Afanil therapy with rumenotoric and microflora enhancer?
A. It is always better to combine anti-bloat therapy with microflora enhancer and rumenotoric as rumen functions are severely affected in case of tympany.

Q. Can Afanil prevent the recurrence of bloat?
A. To prevent the recurrence the source of the frothing agent is to be removed.

Q. How Charmil gel is better than other products?
A. As Charmil is available in gel form its spreadability and penetration in the wound is more leading to better results.

Also due to gel form its consistency remains uniform in all weather conditions hence no wastage.

Q. How Charmil is a multiaction Skin Gel ?
A. As Charmil is effective for all types of wounds caused by different types of bacteria, fungus or mites, it is called as multiaction skin gel. This is because of the  antimicrobial,  antifungal  and miticidal action of ingredient herbs of the Charmil.

Q. How Charmil application leads to quick healing of wounds?
A. As Karanj & Devdar oil present in Charmil are having good anti-inflammatory and Vulnerary action it leads to early healing of wounds. Also due to fly repellent property of its oils, flies will not sit on wound area & so wound don’t get disturbed which is also required for early healing of wound.

Q. Why results of Charmil Spray are better than other products ?

A. Main reason of better results is the high concentration of quality herbal oils in Charmil Spray i.e. 61 % of active ingredients ( 50% of Devdar Oil & 11 % of Karanj Oil). This ranges from 30 to 42% in other products.

Also as Charmil Spray is available in Aluminium can, product efficacy & stability is assured. Some other products are available in tin can so efficacy may go down in those cases.

SUPERLIV (Poultry Products)
Q. How Superliv Premix is superior over the other liver tonics?

A. Superliv premix is made from extraction technology that has the following benefits:

  • The herbal ingredients are better absorbed with less wastage
  • The action is faster
  • The results are better
  • The supplementation quantity is less

The other liver tonics in the premix category contain crude herbs that are poorly utilized in the birds’ body hence the results are not comparable to Superliv.

Q. The cost of Superliv premix is more than the other products?
A. On the face value Superliv seems to be costlier compared to the other products.  However, in poultry, the ratio of output to input has the greatest significance.  By the use of Superliv you get the best Cost Benefit Ratio (CBR) hence it is the most economical product.  That’s why Superliv is the largest selling brand in the premix category.

Q. In this situation when the feed ingredient cost is going high why I should further increase the feed cost by additional supplementation of Superliv?
A. Superliv is the right product for this poultry crisis period.  By using Superliv you can substantially lower the cost of production by achieving a better FCR leading to better CBR.

Q. What are the usage areas of Superliv Liquid?
A. Superliv Liquid can be used when feed consumption is reduced but water intake is normal.  This happens during the period of chick arrival, disease outbreak, convalescence period, heat stress etc.  During these periods supplementation of liquid will be better.

TOXIROAK (Poultry Products)
Q. Whether I need to add mycotoxin binder if liver tonic is added in the feed?
A. Yes.  This is because the role of mycotoxin binder and liver tonic is very different.  Mycotoxin binder helps to control mycotoxin in feed and inside birds’ body.  The quantity of mycotoxin thus reaching the liver is minimised.  In case toxin binder is not added high amount of mycotoxin will reach liver that the liver cannot sustain.

The liver tonics are majorly used to improve the liver functions to ensure better utilization of the feed nutrients. The other important functions of liver tonic are detoxification of the toxic substances reaching liver, synthesis of important factors and secretion of bile.
It is clear that the functions of liver tonic and mycotoxin binder are not overlapping hence both are to be used.

Q. What does Herbo-Mineral means?
A. Herbo-Mineral means a mixture of herbs and minerals.  Toxiroak is a herbo-mineral Toxin binder as it contains herbs (Neem, Lahsun, Black night shed, Kalmegh) and minerals (HSCAS).

Q. How Toxiroak is better compared to the other products used for mycotoxin control?

A. Toxiroak works via four-fold action as below:

  • Anti-fungal action – Fungus control in feed
  • Mycotoxin biosynthesis inhibition – Checks synthesis of mycotoxin from fungus
  • Chemosorption – Binding of mycotoxin in the intestine
  • Mycotoxin bioneutralization – Detoxification of mycotoxin reaching liver and conversion into harmless metabolites

By virtue of the above actions Toxiroak provides complete protection from mycotoxicosis.

The other available products do not have action number 2 & 4 leaving some gaps in the complete control of mycotoxicosis.

Q. Does Toxiroak works against Ochratoxin?
A. Various researches have proved that Toxiroak can prevent ochratoxicosis as well as mixed contamination of ochra and afla toxicosis.

Q. Does Toxiraok contains organic acids?
A. Yes, Toxiroak contains organic acids for the control of fungal growth in feed.

Q. Does Toxiroak contains HSCAS?
A. Yes, Toxiroak contains high quality treated HSCAS for effective binding of aflatoxin inside GI tract.  HSCAS forms irreversible bond with aflatoxin unlike other adsorbents (Bentonite, Charcoal).  The bond formed by HSCAS is not affected by the enzymes in GI tract.

Q. What are the major herbs present in Toxiroak for mycotoxin control?
A. The major herbs in Toxiroak are:
Azadiractha indica (neem) and Allium sativum (Lahsun) – For action 1 & 2
Andrographis paniculata (Kalmegh) – For action number 4
